Today, I have rehearsed with Sifa in her songs as part of my collaboration:

Today, I was analysing the sound of the song "Nine letters". I have shown the song to one of my teachers who said that I should add more dynamics to the song and make it less repetitive to give different feelings between chorus and first or second verse.

Also, one of the points from the feedback was that I had to fix the panning of the hit hat and also to give more changes to the kit drums. 

I have to compress more the vocals and also I have to reduce a little bit the level. I need to work out a better way to make it sound differently improved.

The song sounds nice and sounds with a good feeling, but it teens to be monotonous for the whole song, so that is the weakness of my song. Therefore,  I need to work more on new points where it could fit better the sound and to change the feeling.



Friday

Today, I have fixed the mistakes I had in my song and also I have changed the mixing by taking out some unnecessary frequencies that there were in the song that was making it sound so loud, particularly the drums.

Also, I have changed the structure of the song to make it less repetitive. So, I definitely can say that the track is already finished as well as the track "I wanna know you", I just have left to finish the salsa version of Billie Jean by the next week.

Half term holiday advance

In this half term, I will be working on my song "I wanna know you". 4th/april/2018 Today, I recorded the introduction of the song, but first of all, I remembered one of the tips from one of literature review which says that always we have to record first the instruments with louder frequency, but I started recording the base of the guitar and then I started adding the instruments. This song is in pop but I will add the reggaeton patterns at the chorus. This is a recording of the introduction of the song: The following audio is the same recording but with the effects on it. I have added EQ, Compressor, Pedals, reverb, delay and a phaser to create that sound: the next audio is the intro with the bass melody and the piano melody. Bernhoft who uses the looping on his music to creates the melody in every single instrument. he uses a dynamical and an interesting range of different acoustic instruments, such as the bass, the percussion, the hooks and the second voices. Also, he uses his voice to create repetitive phrases that contain like a Dj effect at the end of the phrase of the hook. He uses the loop pedal very well to create a live recording which is very interesting because he recreates an acoustic kind of instruments just with the guitar and his voices.
