Song of the week: Buscate a otro/ Find another

 REVIEW OF THIS WEEKEND WORK:

This past  Saturday 04/05/19 I had the recording session of the video of 'Escultura' which is going to be released as soon as I get the video edited. The arrangement of the video recording session was in collaboration with MK who is the owner of BM Visuals in London which you can find information about his work in the link attached below:

The session was very comfortable, the team was awesome, as well as the model who I met that day who was very kind, professional and creative through the recording of the scenes. I was really anxious about how to act and how to move in the scenes but I dealt very well with it, even more, because the model helped me to get confidence with the scenes.


Also, I am very happy because I have scaled a very big step in my music career by the first recording of my first video which is a reason for being motivated and excited to continue creating good material and growing through this industry and musical world.

Today, I have received the master of our new song 'Bailame'. I just sent it to DistroKid to distribute it and I was accepted extremely fast. Now the song is out in all the online platforms (Spotify, Itunes, Apple music, Amazon, Google Play/ Youtube, Anghami, Medianet, Deezer, Instagram/Facebook, iHeartRadio, ClaroMusica, KKbox, Napster, Saavn. Shazam and Tidal):






I can feel the progress of making this EP really quick and even I have improved so much in terms of accepting my identity as an artist and how the people who wave to me on the street call me by Jayffo instead of my real name which I can call it as a double life. However, Juan as a producer of his music is now more comfortable with the material that he is projecting (I mean all about myself).

 Today, I have started to compose a song called 'Buscate a otro' which in Spanish it means 'Find another'.  This song talks more about the hate that a man has against a girl who is a player with him and breaks his heart with her actions.  Even though, the lyrics are more aggressive and explicit projecting all the anger and pain, it is a way to express the found emotions of being disappointed.

Today I have started to produce the instrumental for this song. Potentially, I had already the melody in my mind about how, to begin with, the base of the track, mostly it is now easier for me to more creative about imagining how the song is going to taste like, how the sound is going to influence the groove of the song.

 At today's session, I have started to record the vocals for one of my classmate's song who wanted me to collaborate with him and we just decided to start writing some lyrics for my part which I just recorded. Here, I have attached the video of today's session at the production room 3 at college. Also, I have put the lyrics that I composed for this song.

 It is interesting to collaborate with my friend Paulo because this type of music is more like Drake's vibe which works really well with my Latin style of singing. As well as the fact that I wanted to sing some parts in English to engage more comfortable with the song, as I usually like/Prefer to sing in English:

Half term holiday advance

In this half term, I will be working on my song "I wanna know you". 4th/april/2018 Today, I recorded the introduction of the song, but first of all, I remembered one of the tips from one of literature review which says that always we have to record first the instruments with louder frequency, but I started recording the base of the guitar and then I started adding the instruments. This song is in pop but I will add the reggaeton patterns at the chorus. This is a recording of the introduction of the song: The following audio is the same recording but with the effects on it. I have added EQ, Compressor, Pedals, reverb, delay and a phaser to create that sound: the next audio is the intro with the bass melody and the piano melody.
