Composing Task 1
Remix of "Come together" by The Beatles.
This is my explanation about the remix of come together by Beatles.
As a result, I have decided to do very simple changes that makes the song to sound
very different, in fact. I could say that I decided to change as a main part of
the song the drums because in this case the song is created with the special
style used by the drums.
I decided to change
the rhythm of the drums because I think that it could change the context of the
whole song from 90´s and 60’s music style to a more modern and enjoyable rhythm
which is more complex and faster. I can
say that is enjoyable more faster to make it complex because the normal rhythm
of the song is 80Hz and if you change it to 90Hz or 100Hz, the style of the sound,
sounds more modern even when the difference of the velocity is not so remarkable.
On the other hand, I did not change the chords and I did not
add any keys to the song, because at first I think that I don’t really like
other style of chords and also to change the tone of voice o the tone of the
guitar, changes completely the background which contains the style of this
famous song.
In conclusion, I think that the thing that was better to do
a remix with this song was to change the rhythm of the drums.

Composition
My composition is very simple,
but strongly rhythmical, because I decided to do the piano with the chords of E
and F, but without playing the chord completely together , I played the keys by
couples, this is the following order of the keys that sounds in the piano; A + C , G + B , F + A, G + B , A + C.
The Rhythm’s song was created with
syncope because I put in between the spaces of the piano’s melody the rhythm of
the drums which gives the sense that the percussion and the melody are not
sounding at the same time. That gives the syncopation.
Also, I added some claps to make
the kick more remarkable companied of the claps at the end of each bar. If we
listen carefully we can identify that the claps makes stronger the rhythm that
goes in 4/4 but seems faster for the syncopation in between melody and rhythm.
When the piano starts in the first
bar, we just are listening to the melody of the piano, and the tick-tack of the
metronome, we can say that, that is the tension of the track. The liberation in
the track is when we can listen that the piano ends the first two or three bars
and after, the rhythm of percussion starts and then, there is when the tension
starts, which gives the variation of the track, from calm and slow to choppy
and faster where I added the kick strongly on time at the beginning of the
third bar to give that remarkable change.
