PERSONAL STATEMENT

I would like to further my studies because I have the confidence that I will achieve my
targets through my studies in this course. The enrichment of education that I could receive is
very wide and deep, such as the emphasis in the practice and analysis of the music, technology
management, composition and innovating development as a student for tomorrow's future. This
focus will take advantage of my potential as a musician, songwriter, producer and sound
engineer. I am interested in studying this course because I have an ambitious desire for
learning, continuously developing my musical skills, improving my knowledge about my main
interests and achieving my goals as a professional in the music industry.
 
The first time that I experienced a music course was when I was five years old. Since that
time I have attended music courses of vocals, guitar and music theory but also I have learned
the most of my practice at the Orchestra from my school and folkloric bands from my country. I
interpret the music as my lifestyle and I am specific about the method as I have been
developing my potential. I feel free for creating and developing my knowledge through the
sound and the use of instruments that have their own language, which inspire and touch
people. I realised that I had to enrich my life and enjoy it by doing what I love to do; make
music. I cannot stop exploring sounds and composing songs, finding new genres and increasing
my knowledge in all the different rhythms and styles that identify the diversity of cultures
that thrive around the world.
 
I have been preparing myself by learning about the use of technology in studios and programmes
to create music, as well as the skills that I have in playing the guitar, piano, clarinet,
bass, congas, flute and percussion. I have had the experience of learning music theory and
also learning to compose. I have all the skills to innovate and the creativity to explore new
ideas. Previously, I have been into courses of producing music, mastering, collaborating with
others, working in band workshops, developing compositions, improving with feedback
reinforcing high standards of responsibility when working with others and the bases of music
theory. I always want to continue improving and interacting with other students who will offer
me enrichment from their knowledge as well.
 
I have taken part in performances, both in and out school and previously from college. Such as
open mics and collaborations with friends to perform music on the street and also arranging
recording sessions to promote my music or other's music. I take my focus and dedication to
this subject seriously because music is such an important part of my life.
 
I have been working since I was fourteen years old at restaurants from my country, cleaning
jobs in London, work experience as a receptionist, working at Costa as a Barista and I have also
taught music to children. My plans for the future are to become a professional and successful
musician who has accomplished his studies in sound engineering, music performance, music
production and also releasing my own music. I plan to be constructive and innovative for the
future that I want to be part of the music industry.
 
Other hobbies that I have are to work out, socialising with friends, to travel, to meet new
people with similar interests, to dance, to share with my family and to study for my own
career investment. On top of that, I have a very creative mind and the determination to
achieve all my dreams at the adversity of any overcoming.
