ACHIEVEMENTS

 LEARNING TO PLAY A NEW INSTRUMENT BY MYSELF:


This achievement was reached by the consistent practice and rehearsal in the development of the last year. This is an important achievement because, at the beginning of the course, I did not know how to play the piano/ keyboard, however during the workshop classes I learned to play some songs which I used to rehearse at home or at my free-time when I used to book a rehearsal room. It was hard for me to learn because I did not know anything about playing piano/ keyboard. After some months, I started to sing meanwhile I was playing the piano at the same time and as a result, my confidence improved so much, even I started to play for other's songs and projects. I really found out that I had improved a lot my musical skills because I taught myself to play the piano.

This is a way of how to show that the practice and the interest in learning can be a powerful tool to help to reach anything that you think that might be unreachable.


DEVELOPING  A PRODUCTION AND  A RECORDING OF MY OWN SONG:

This target is very important to me because It was the first time that I recorded a song mine. Even though, the production and recording were made in collaboration as part of the FMP from the last year, but anyway I learned so much about recording techniques and also I learned a lot about editing and mastering a  song with a good sound and outstanding quality. I could say outstanding as my sarcastic pride because to be a song edited by me, It was a challenge to do it. 
 
In the end, I was really happy with the results, because It was a lot of work from my own to this previous project (FMP) and also it was a song that I really liked, even if it was mine, I really liked it.

FACING THE STAGE WITH CONFIDENCE AND PASSION:

By the final FMP performance, I performed my own songs. However, I was really nervous because I always get shocked by the nerves before doing any gig. But, I did it with passion and confidence, even if I know that I have to improve my skills so much, I did it very well.

To be in front of the people, engaging the public and showing off the talent is not easy, but that night of the performance, I felt amazing on the stage and I think that experience really helped me to improve my confidence and to be more passionate about what I love to do and to study.

Half term holiday advance

In this half term, I will be working on my song "I wanna know you". 4th/april/2018 Today, I recorded the introduction of the song, but first of all, I remembered one of the tips from one of literature review which says that always we have to record first the instruments with louder frequency, but I started recording the base of the guitar and then I started adding the instruments. This song is in pop but I will add the reggaeton patterns at the chorus. This is a recording of the introduction of the song: The following audio is the same recording but with the effects on it. I have added EQ, Compressor, Pedals, reverb, delay and a phaser to create that sound: the next audio is the intro with the bass melody and the piano melody. Bernhoft who uses the looping on his music to creates the melody in every single instrument. he uses a dynamical and an interesting range of different acoustic instruments, such as the bass, the percussion, the hooks and the second voices. Also, he uses his voice to create repetitive phrases that contain like a Dj effect at the end of the phrase of the hook. He uses the loop pedal very well to create a live recording which is very interesting because he recreates an acoustic kind of instruments just with the guitar and his voices.
