HIP HOP WEEK 1 (09/01/2019 - 10/01/2019)

Today at band's workshop we have been introduced forward the Hip Hop style. Also, we started to assemble the cover of the song 'Through the wire' by Kanye West. However, I have taken the challenge of playing the drums, to start to explore and to improve my musical skills. I do know some stuff about playing the drums but what I have done today is more empirical.



 Thursday (11/01/2019)

 Today at band's workshop, we arranged better the song 'Through the wire'. Mostly, all the rehearsal, we were trying to make my drumming more accurate and interesting. Also, today I felt more comfortable playing the drums, even If it is not my main instrument I am impressed for the way as I face to play an instrument that which I have had weaknesses before with. Maybe, my want for learning is helping me to get easier my confidence.

 However, the song now has a clearer structure and arrangement. Even, the way as we are arranging all things is very exciting, because we are progressing as musicians and as a group.

 Looking at the past, we were not that committed to rehearse and to propose ideas to improve and to grow. Now we feel more confident as a band and we know more each other to trust in everyone's skills.

Half term holiday advance

In this half term, I will be working on my song "I wanna know you". 4th/april/2018 Today, I recorded the introduction of the song, but first of all, I remembered one of the tips from one of literature review which says that always we have to record first the instruments with louder frequency, but I started recording the base of the guitar and then I started adding the instruments. This song is in pop but I will add the reggaeton patterns at the chorus. This is a recording of the introduction of the song: The following audio is the same recording but with the effects on it. I have added EQ, Compressor, Pedals, reverb, delay and a phaser to create that sound: the next audio is the intro with the bass melody and the piano melody. Bernhoft who uses the looping on his music to creates the melody in every single instrument. he uses a dynamical and an interesting range of different acoustic instruments, such as the bass, the percussion, the hooks and the second voices. Also, he uses his voice to create repetitive phrases that contain like a Dj effect at the end of the phrase of the hook. He uses the loop pedal very well to create a live recording which is very interesting because he recreates an acoustic kind of instruments just with the guitar and his voices.
