Communication in industry
As an artist, I have my own preferences to communicate with the music industry. At the moment, after releasing my first two songs on Spotify, Itunes, Deezer, Youtube and Apple music, I found out that the best way to connect into this world is to share and to diffuse all the content throw my social media. Preferably, to use Instagram, Facebook and Youtube as the main online platforms to help me to get known.
However, All three work very different and all contain convenient actions for promotion and investment. Since December from 2018, I started to invest in my Instagram's posts from about twenty to thirty pounds each post. Therefore, as a result of getting a very good increase of view on my post, I could start to believe in the good gain of the audience that I could get from investing in my posts.
If I talk about Facebook, I can say that the difference to Instagram, it is more relating to create your own page and to administrate it apart from your personal Facebook profile, that as an artist requires more time and money to create huge reliability for an audience. But, the good thing is that now Instagram is connected to Facebook's page which enhances the chances for sharing wider all my content.
Facebook as a whole worldwide social media platform creates a very deep way to connect us around the world. But, it is not the best way to connect with the music industry as many facebook pages and association are now online trying to compete against the popularity of others. That is why I have facebook as my third option to share my content and to increase my popularity.
The management of promoting colleagues on social media and sharing their content with friends and family is also a very workable way to help them and to help ourselves to get people that trust us. Which also will influence in the way as we produce content and we need people to share, in other words, the importance of collaboration.
I usually get followers and audience to my colleagues and them the same for me. To work as an association and to grow together is also a very good way to communicate with the music industry, as well as sharing contacts of producers, promoters and sponsors which increase the options to make connections.
The third and the most important is to perform as much as I can, I usually try to make contacts from disco's places and Dj's who help me to be on the stage in any event that comes up and also to be aware of trying to make my performances more interesting by promoting them in social media and giving news in advance. To get known more efficiently and positively through my way of making contacts and people that help me to reach my target of becoming a recognised artist and producer in the future.
Everything is a process and takes time to achieve it, but connecting by social media, contacts, live performances and investing in social media to get promoted is a workable way that nowadays technology and industry offer us to make more independent music and to get known by the people who identify with the music that we make, or that I usually make as a solo artist.
