VOCATIONAL CONTEXT



As a student of music, I have to develop and learning lots of thing about this huge world, but also I have to improve my skills and getting experience.


STRENGTHS 

  1. To know how to create chords and understanding the difference in between each structure and key of the chords and scales.
  2. To read music.
  3. To play several kind of instruments such as ( the flute, the clarinet, the guitar, the piano, the bass and the congas.
  4. To involve into a music ensemble with patience, participation, discipline and tolerance.
  5. To have creativity at the time of creating new samples and melodies as good as with instruments and production.
  6. To identify carefully the tempo of a melody and also keeping it, which also helps me to create dynamic and syncopation whenever I want and putting it on the song, as long as it keeps the right tempo.
  7. To rehearsal very often, it is the most important strength that I have, because It develops something better on me every time that I do it, which means improvement. 
  8. I listen to music all the time, which indirectly makes that I listen more carefully and deeper every single song, and then I start to analyse each aspect and content of the material that I am listening to.
  9. I have the mentality of a experimental person, who even when I don't like the music that i am listening or that I have to play as requirement of my studies. I take the time, respect and patience to analyse it and improving at the time of rehearsing.
  10. I can sing very loudly and also, I have really good projection.


WEAKNESSES


  1. To get the right key of a melody, I really struggle about getting the right chords and tone of a song. Definitely, I have to practice more about my listening and developing a musical ears.
  2. I do well my performances because I rehearsal as much as I can, but almost all the time I forget to tune my instruments.
  3. I really struggle about connecting with other likes and also, sometimes I like to share my background's music but I do not feel comfortable sometimes being free expressing my likes.
  4. I have to improve my way of exploring the music, I need to listen more to other kind of music and rhythms.
  5. I can sing sometimes in an outstanding pitch and quality. But, I have to improve more my breathing, posture, pitching and vocalization. I need to get the right content of a good and high quality performance over time after rehearsing more.
  6. I have to get more confidence at the time of performing.
  7. I need to improve my techniques at the time of performing with instruments, such the picking with the guitar, the breathing with my voice and clarinet and also I have to practice more my reading in music.
  8. I really struggle about to produce a good sound quality with the voice on logic pro, I do not know yet how to edit it professionally but I am keeping going and improving.
  9. I need to improve my discipline and responsibility with my studies and focus more about what really cares and also, It is very important to focus more on my improvement and advance.

Aspects of the Course

SONGWRITING

This is a really good, free, and expressful class for developing our skills in creating and being creative. In few words, we can express ourselves and we can share our own likes, thoughts and styles. From all of this main points, I want to say that, every composition comes from an inspiration and, in this class we have to inspire from different points of view and also, we have to get a similar kind of comfort to get a right relation and work. 

I Have done and enjoyed well  this class during my time in this course, because I have could shared my own stuff and my own way of performing. In fact, it is been useful for others. They take my ideas and my opinions respectfully then, I think that everyone's ideas and thoughts are very important for each part of a composition.

DESCRIPTION OF MY  SKILL SET 

My skill set is developed by my knowledge in musical grammar, my easiness for playing different kind of instruments.

I have a background which has lots of things  from different cultures and therefore I have a good creativity and ideas for creating stuff.  However, I really need to rehearsal more and  study more musical theory to get good compositions and original ideas. Other

Half term holiday advance

In this half term, I will be working on my song "I wanna know you". 4th/april/2018 Today, I recorded the introduction of the song, but first of all, I remembered one of the tips from one of literature review which says that always we have to record first the instruments with louder frequency, but I started recording the base of the guitar and then I started adding the instruments. This song is in pop but I will add the reggaeton patterns at the chorus. This is a recording of the introduction of the song: The following audio is the same recording but with the effects on it. I have added EQ, Compressor, Pedals, reverb, delay and a phaser to create that sound: the next audio is the intro with the bass melody and the piano melody. Technology in Context

Bernhoft who uses the looping on his music to creates the melody in every single instrument. he uses a dynamical and an interesting range of different acoustic instruments, such as the bass, the percussion, the hooks and the second voices. Also, he uses his voice to create repetitive phrases that contain like a Dj effect at the end of the phrase of the hook. He uses the loop pedal very well to create a live recording which is very interesting because he recreates an acoustic kind of instruments just with the guitar and his voices. In addition, he accompanies himself with the guitar giving dynamic to the song, because even when everything is looped is not monotonous and repetitive in the whole song. he really knows how to put in and how to take out the recorded channels a tempo.
