Sampa's song analysis (I am me)
The song starts with a base of the piano melody which is syncopated with a deep beat of a kick drum. Then it turns into a bass melody that creates rhythm and intensity, accompanied by a percussion that I could not identify what it was specifically but, it is like a finger's clap.
Then, with the progress of the song, I could listen to a harmony of voices that is very gossipy and melodically sequenced as a hook. That hook of voices in harmony mixed with the main voice that sings the lyrics creates a interesting syncopation that persuades the listener of the main melody of the track.
Her voice is strongly thick and deep, which is very comfortable for listening. She uses a speedy vocalization and it is very remarkable her depth of tone.
The bass melody creates a rhythmical upbeat that mixes perfectly with the offbeat of the percussion's beats. On my opinion, I think that the song is very contemporary and evokes a feeling of freedom and a strong expression of feeling, which is very independent of the currently lyrics interpreted.
About the structure, I think that the intro is very clear because the coo progression of the sample at the beginning with the melody, offbeat of the percussion and the speedy lyrics. Then, the apparition of the hook like if that were the pre-chorus and then the chorus when she sings slower and harmonically calm which is more asynchronous to the whole elements of the track such as the instruments in syncopation.
