4th Song review

Image
"Un amor verdadero" ( A true love) This is a song interpreted by the Colombian singer Silvestre Dangdond. Furthermore, it is a song from genre "Vallenato".This song is composed in 4/4 signature, also I could identify that the song has anacrusis before that the song starts on the main bar of the strong tempo. The anacrusis can be distinguished when the first beat starts and then on the second beat a melody in descendent notes makes like an arpeggio on guitar and then the song starts with the strong tempo on the first beat of the next bar. It is like 1 and then starts the arpeggios in 2,3,4 and then the main melody of the intro starts on the first beat of the next bar. The song starts with a harmony of guitar, bass and piano to give a soft intro, then after 8 bars, the percussion comes up to create that remarkable intro that evokes the rhythm of vallenato. Also after the first 8 bars, the singer starts to use the second voice like if there were sing...

2nd Song review

Mundo Aparte (World Apart) This is a song of reggaeton genre which is made of  especials effect of delay and echo that is very interesting, because I could identify the use of bells as well as the use of  ESX24  made of vocal sounds that creates that echo effects and acute tone. The melody is very calm and soft, even when this genre is very moved and speedy. I really like the way as the song is created. I think that at the beginning of the song we could identify that the effects of vocal sounds are played with echo in a very acute tone, which evokes a feeling of comfortability. In the song is used the syncopation in between the drums and the melody of ESX24, the rest is synchronised and a tempo with the lyrics of the song. The bass and the synths create a deepth sound that fill the song and give weight to the beats. This is genre that is well-known for its strong beats and rhythm, which creates a danceable feeling and very speedy melody with lyric...

Sampa's song analysis (I am me)

The song starts with a base of the piano melody which is syncopated with a deep beat of a kick drum. Then it turns into a bass melody that creates rhythm and intensity, accompanied by a percussion that I could not identify what it was specifically but, it is like a finger's clap. Then, with the progress of the song, I could listen to a harmony of voices that is very gossipy and melodically sequenced as a hook. That hook of voices in harmony mixed with the main voice that sings the lyrics creates a interesting syncopation that persuades the listener of the main melody of the track. Her voice is strongly thick and deep, which is very comfortable for listening. She uses a speedy vocalization and it is very remarkable her depth of tone. The bass melody creates a rhythmical upbeat that mixes perfectly with the offbeat of the percussion's beats. On my opinion, I think that the song is very contemporary and evokes a feeling of freedom and a strong expression of feeling, w...

Interim ( Video analysis)

Image
This is a film video that evokes a narrative of a story which is been related by sequences of scenes on the video. The content of the video is a several quantity of scenes cut and organised in different order to give more similarities in between the video and the track that is been played. The lyrics of the track are based on the drama that produces the breaking up of a couple, but his video contains that dramatical  similarity in between these two parts ( the track and video). The video is asynchronous because it does has any relation with the rhythm of the song but the main relation is the context that this is based on. The pacing has a lot of frequency because there are many scenes added to be played in 3 minutes, which we can see that there are scenes cut and replayed back in the whole video, I mean, they put the scenes in disorder but any way It works really well to give a good narrative. The colour scheme is very natural, It does not has any ...

WINTER GIG EVALUATION

The decade's project on this term was very important for us as help for our personal growth in knowledge and theory feedback as musicians. But, I think that also for some of us, It was controversial some genres that by its style were annoying or at least they were not comfortable for performing. First of all, when we rehearsed the last few weeks, It was very good and enjoyable. As well as of having a good progress with the creativity and participation of everyone as a whole-band because we were together giving ideas and our own opinions to improve the performances. On the other hand, I think that It is very important to have more gaps for rehearsing.  Second, as we come from a new age of music and fashion, It was very interesting to get into the music from decades project, which was very different in comparison of the music that we are listening nowadays. I could call it as an enrichment of new experiences.  Third, I was not on the Winter gig from this t...
